I am
absolutely thrilled about this box! So thankful I was able to buy one of these
since it sold out in like 10 minutes (I got mine in the second round and it
sold out in about 7 minutes. Crazy!). I think it sold out so fast for good
reason. The lineup seems stellar and is practically a complete skincare routine
in one box (except for the random contouring/shading powder) for such a great price. In
my opinion this looks to be the best Jolse box yet, in terms of contents.
Shipping
was super fast and I can’t really give an in-depth review of every item in the
box just yet, but I have tried and owned previously three products in this box (the
Keep Cool Soothe Water, the Blithe Tundra Chaga Pressed Serum, and the A
Concept Triple Full Shading powder), and even from these three I can say the quality is
great. The Soothe Water cleanses my makeup off well and doesn’t irritate my
sensitive skin. It’s a great refreshing cleansing water even though it leaves
my skin feeling a little thirsty afterwards… but that may just be because my
skin is usually dry. Those with normal skin may not even feel dryness after
use.
As for the
Blithe serum, it’s a little too much for my skin in the summer but I can see it
being really useful in the winter. It has a nice gel-like consistency and could
probably be used like a lighter cream/moisturizer rather than just a serum step. There are many great reviews
about this product and I look forward to using it more when the weather gets
colder, and seeing if my finicky skin will accept it better with the weather
change.
For the A Concept shading powder, I have the same pact already but with a different packaging (the
version before A Concept did its redesign, so the case is black). It’s a very,
very subtle shade that would be difficult to overdo, which is good for a
contouring powder. This probably works best for light to medium skin tones for
contouring/shading purposes, as it is on the lighter shade side. I think this is a good
shading/contouring pact for beginners.
I briefly tried the Thank You Farmer sunscreen, and I am happy that it does not appear to have a major white cast. It dries down to a comfortable finish and is mercifully not sticky, thick, or oily. The only downside I see with it so far is that it has a pretty strong, almost older-lady sort of fragrance, and I'm not sure if this will negatively affect my skin or sensitive nose quite yet. I'm hoping it'll work out fine.
I’m looking
forward to using the rest of the other products in the box too, particularly the AwakeAsleep
serum. It looks promising and I hope it’ll help keep my sensitive skin calm.
The value for this box is incredible (the Troiareuke toner by itself is the
cost of the whole box!) and all of the items are in perfect condition and super
new, with expirations in 2021-2022. I have no idea how Jolse does it, but I am
thankful that they make these awesome boxes from time to time! I’ve had only
one previous beauty box before (from another store) and had a terrible
experience with it. This one has been a 100% great experience. I think I can really trust Jolse boxes, from what I’ve seen
with this one and the reviews of their previous boxes. ^^
