I picked up this lil guy during the Jolse 30% weekend sale as it was about 3$ at the time and I thought the packaging was cute! I chose the curling version of this mascara. It comes in a squeezable tube, which is a first for me - I actually find I prefer it to the barrel ones since its a bit easier to grab the product without the urge to pump the tube, which can cause air to enter it and dry it out. The applicator itself is actually a bit larger than expected, given the size of the tube. In the curling version, the applicator is supposed to be curved, presumably to optimise the curling effect, but is bent at a sharp angle, so it's more of an upside down V than a nice curve shape. Using it can get kind of annoying because of this, but other than that, it's pretty standard.
The formula is decent and mostly smudge-proof. It does cause clumping if you're careless or apply too many coats quickly. The applicator does pick up slightly too much product in one go, especially at the end. I usually wipe it off before I apply, though I think it's a waste of product that way! I didn't note any particularly ground-breaking curl to my downward-pointing East Asian lashes after using the product, so if you do buy this product, I'd recommend using an eyelash curler before, and then going back in with a lash fixer to ensure the curling effect is maximised! I particularly recommend Aritaum Idol's Real Lash Fixer, which does the job superbly.
All in all, I'd say a fairly average mascara, decent for the price I paid for it,, though I've seen and used much better. I'd say your money is better spent on the Isehan Heroine masacara line, those will actually give you really great lashes (though you'll need an industrial strength cleanser to take it off afterwards!).
TL;DR
+: smudge proof, squeezable tube, a little bit of a curling effect?
-: clumping, applicator wand is cumbersome to use
