Long review ahead-- I hope this helps people decide to try this cream or not ^^;;

I do admit I was taken in by the well-done advertisement photos and claims of this cream-- it looked super promising.

I personally think this is a good cream, though I don't think it'll work for everyone. I like it, and it works well with my skin.

The design of the tube is cute, but not really anything too special to me, despite it being designed by a "renowned designer" as they say in their ad. The tube itself is good though, and has a fine dispensing end that doesn't release too much product.

As for the product itself, it is a very pale, light pink sort of beige (see my swatch comparison photo for reference). It is very bright. I have compared it to Etude House's Stay-Up Foundation in Ivory, Skinfood's Peach Sake BB in no. 1, and Missha's Real Complete BB in no.21, to those who want a reference of the color. It is quite obvious that it is the lightest of the bunch. The photo makes the tone of the cream look neutral, but it really does lean on more of the pink side. Skinfood's BB cream is the best match for my skin (I am between a NC15 - NC20 in MAC) and I can get away with wearing this Make Me Lovely cream without it looking too unnatural, but I think with anyone whose skin has a deeper/darker tone, it may not look very natural on them. Darker skin tones might end up looking ashy with this, and those with more yellow or neutral toned skin (like me) won't find it looking perfectly natural either. It does adjust slightly to my skin tone a few minutes after applying, but it still is not the most natural color on me. This is one of the reasons why I took off a star for my rating.

Other than the color, I think this cream is really good. It has a thin, silky, lightweight consistency that spreads on easily. I've only ever applied it with my fingers, but it works well. I can see how it can be streaky, because it has a bit of a powdery feeling in the cream (does that make sense?) that can leave streaks if you're not careful, and will cling to dry skin. It is essential to properly exfoliate and moisturize your skin before using this to make it look smooth.

This cream brightens my skin nicely and evens my skin tone out. It has quite light coverage. I don't have any major blemishes to cover, so those needing more coverage, this may not be for you, or you may choose to use a separate concealer in addition to this (I need to use a concealer for my dark circles with this). It is true that this cream does not oxidize or darken over time, well, at least it is like that for me. My face also feels really silky and soft when I use this cream... I'm not sure if it's a result from this cream only, or if the cream is just reacting to my skin which has been already really soft due to some new skincare I started using. The scent is also light and inoffensive, and does not irritate my sensitive skin. However, I did notice that when I left this on my skin for a very long time (almost 24 hours), I started to get little bumps on my forehead, but after I washed my face, they calmed down and pretty much went away.

This cream isn't particularly long-lasting, but it lasts well throughout the day. It doesn't stay put exactly, but may move around, especially if your skin is oily. It's winter right now, so I can't really judge for oil control as my skin isn't particularly oily, especially in the cold, dry air. However, the thing I like most about this is that it lives up to one of its claims-- that it looks good in photos without using a filter. I usually use a brightening filter when I take selcas/selfies because my skin often looks dull. But I was shocked to see that with this, I didn't need to use one... my skin looked bright and even, no filter needed.

Well, that is my take on this cream.. of course, it is different for every person, but if you think that this will work for you, then give it a try ^^
